Our name says it all – the staff at A Common Thread shares a passion for expressing our creativity through sewing.  Sewing is a craft that is traditionally passed from generation to generation. It is craft that celebrates creativity, accomplishment and individuality while at the same time offering community to nurture and recognize your accomplishments.

Our goal at A Common Thread is to provide inspiration and resources to support the craft of sewing in all its many forms. So, whether you want to learn how to make a quilt, how to machine embroider, or learn how to sew garments or home décor, we are here to help. You will find an extensive array of classes featuring some of the finest sewing experts in our community as well as nationally recognized educators.  

As with most crafts, having the right tools can make a world of difference. At A Common Thread we offer a wide range of products that we believe represent the best quality and value. We carry BERNINA and Janome sewing machines and sergers, as well as Handi Quilter quilting machines, and Miele vacuum cleaners. Our service department is available to repair and maintain your sewing machines and vacuum cleaners, regardless of brand,  in the best possible condition.
